Thomas S. Monson
Thomas S. Monson was an American religious leader and the 16th president of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church). He served in this role from 2008 until his death in 2018. Monson was known for his emphasis on service, compassion, and the importance of family.
Before becoming president, Monson held various leadership positions within the LDS Church, including serving as a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles since 1963. He was also a successful businessman and community leader, dedicating much of his life to humanitarian efforts and promoting education.
