Theory Of Knowledge
Theory of Knowledge (TOK) is a core component of the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme. It encourages students to reflect on the nature of knowledge, exploring how we know what we claim to know. Through discussions and critical thinking, students examine different ways of knowing, such as perception, reason, emotion, and language.
In TOK, students also investigate various areas of knowledge, including the natural sciences, human sciences, arts, and history. The course emphasizes the importance of questioning assumptions and understanding the limitations of knowledge, fostering a deeper appreciation for the complexities of understanding the world around us.
