Thea von Harbou
Thea von Harbou was a German screenwriter, director, and novelist, born on December 27, 1888. She is best known for her collaboration with her partner, director Fritz Lang, particularly on the iconic silent film Metropolis released in 1927. Her work often explored themes of technology, society, and human emotion.
In addition to her film contributions, von Harbou wrote several novels, some of which were adapted into films. She was a prominent figure in the German film industry during the Weimar Republic and later became involved with the Nazi regime, which affected her legacy. She passed away on July 1, 1954.
