The Ten Suns
In Chinese mythology, "The Ten Suns" refers to a time when ten suns simultaneously illuminated the sky. This phenomenon caused extreme heat, drying up rivers and creating droughts, which threatened the survival of humanity and nature.
To restore balance, the archer Hou Yi was called upon to shoot down nine of the suns, leaving only one to provide light and warmth. This act not only saved the earth but also established Hou Yi as a legendary hero in Chinese folklore, symbolizing bravery and the importance of harmony in nature.
