The London Police
The London Police, officially known as the Metropolitan Police Service, is responsible for law enforcement in Greater London, excluding the Square Mile of the City of London, which has its own police force. Established in 1829 by Sir Robert Peel, the force aims to maintain public order, prevent crime, and protect citizens.
The London Police is organized into various units, including response teams, community policing, and specialized divisions like the Counter Terrorism Command. Officers are identifiable by their distinctive uniforms and are trained to handle a wide range of incidents, ensuring safety and security in one of the world's busiest cities.
