Teutones
The Teutones were a Germanic tribe that lived in ancient times, primarily known for their conflicts with the Roman Republic. They are often associated with the migration of various tribes during the late Iron Age and early Roman period. The Teutones, along with the Cimbri, famously fought against Roman forces in the late 2nd century BCE, leading to significant battles such as the Battle of Arausio in 105 BCE.
The Teutones are believed to have originated from the region of present-day Germany and Denmark. Their name is derived from the Proto-Germanic word for "people" or "tribe." Over time, they became part of the larger Germanic cultural and linguistic group, influencing the history of Europe during the migration period.
