Terracotta Warriors
The Terracotta Warriors are a collection of life-sized clay sculptures discovered in 1974 near Xi'an, China. They were created to accompany the first Emperor of China, Qin Shi Huang, in the afterlife. The site contains thousands of figures, including soldiers, horses, and chariots, each uniquely crafted to represent the army of the emperor.
These warriors were buried in three main pits and are part of a larger necropolis that reflects the grandeur of the Qin Dynasty. The Terracotta Army is considered one of the most significant archaeological finds of the 20th century and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
