The Terracotta Army is a collection of life-sized clay sculptures that represent the armies of Qin Shi Huang, the first Emperor of China. Discovered in 1974 near the city of Xi'an, these figures were buried with the emperor to protect him in the afterlife. The army includes thousands of soldiers, horses, and chariots, each uniquely crafted with intricate details.
The site contains three main pits, with the first pit housing the majority of the soldiers. The figures vary in height, uniform, and hairstyle, reflecting their rank and role. The Terracotta Army is considered one of the most significant archaeological finds of the 20th century and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
