Tenzin Gyatso, born on July 6, 1935, is the 14th Dalai Lama, a title given to the spiritual leader of the Tibetan people. He was recognized as the reincarnation of the 13th Dalai Lama at a young age and has since become a prominent figure in advocating for peace, compassion, and the preservation of Tibetan culture.
In 1959, following the Tibetan uprising against Chinese rule, Tenzin Gyatso fled to India, where he established a government-in-exile. He has received numerous awards, including the Nobel Peace Prize in 1989, for his efforts in promoting non-violence and dialogue in resolving conflicts.
