Tenzin Gyatso (Dalai)
Tenzin Gyatso, the 14th Dalai Lama, is the spiritual leader of Tibetan Buddhism and a prominent advocate for peace and compassion. Born on July 6, 1935, in Tibet, he was recognized as the reincarnation of the 13th Dalai Lama at a young age. In 1950, following the Chinese invasion of Tibet, he fled to India, where he established a government-in-exile.
The Dalai Lama has traveled worldwide, promoting messages of non-violence, interfaith dialogue, and human rights. He was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1989 for his efforts to find a peaceful resolution to the Tibetan issue and has authored numerous books on spirituality and ethics.
