Tension Headaches
Tension headaches are a common type of headache characterized by a dull, aching pain and a feeling of tightness around the forehead or back of the head and neck. They can be triggered by stress, poor posture, or muscle tension. Unlike migraines, tension headaches usually do not cause nausea or sensitivity to light.
These headaches can last from 30 minutes to several days and may occur occasionally or frequently. Treatment often includes over-the-counter pain relievers, relaxation techniques, and lifestyle changes to reduce stress. Maintaining good posture and regular exercise can also help prevent tension headaches.
