Tendon Injury
A tendon injury occurs when a tendon, the fibrous tissue that connects muscles to bones, is damaged. This can happen due to overuse, sudden trauma, or repetitive motions. Common symptoms include pain, swelling, and limited movement in the affected area.
Treatment for a tendon injury often involves rest, ice, compression, and elevation (RICE). In some cases, physical therapy may be recommended to strengthen the surrounding muscles and improve flexibility. Severe injuries might require surgical intervention to repair the damaged tendon.
