Temples in Indonesia
Indonesia is home to a rich variety of temples, reflecting its diverse cultural and religious heritage. The most famous is the Borobudur Temple, a massive Buddhist monument located in Central Java. Built in the 9th century, it features intricate carvings and a unique stupa design, attracting visitors from around the world.
Another significant site is the Prambanan Temple, a stunning Hindu temple complex also in Java. Dating back to the 9th century, it is dedicated to the Trimurti, the three main gods of Hinduism: Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva. Both temples are UNESCO World Heritage Sites and showcase Indonesia's historical significance.
