The Teleri are one of the three main groups of the Eldar, the Elves in J.R.R. Tolkien's legendarium. They are known for their love of the sea and their desire to explore its mysteries. The Teleri were the last to leave Cuiviénen, the Elven homeland, and many of them settled along the shores of Middle-earth. Among the Teleri, some became the Falmari, who lived by the sea and became skilled mariners. Others, known as the Sindar, remained in Beleriand and developed their own culture. The Teleri's journey and experiences significantly shaped the history of the Elves.
