Beleriand
Beleriand is a fictional region in J.R.R. Tolkien's legendarium, primarily featured in "The Silmarillion." It is located in the northwest of Middle-earth and is known for its diverse landscapes, including mountains, forests, and rivers. Beleriand is significant for its role in the stories of the Elves, particularly the Noldor and Sindar, as well as the epic tales of the Silmarils.
The geography of Beleriand includes notable locations such as Gondolin, Doriath, and Nargothrond. It was the setting for many key events in the First Age, including battles against the dark lord Morgoth. Eventually, Beleriand was submerged at the end of the First Age, reshaping the map of Middle-earth.
