Tehuelche Culture
The Tehuelche are an indigenous people from the southern regions of Argentina and Chile. Traditionally, they were nomadic hunter-gatherers, relying on the rich wildlife of the Patagonian landscape. Their diet included guanacos, deer, and various plants, and they used simple tools made from stone and bone.
Tehuelche society was organized into small bands, each led by a chief. They had a rich oral tradition, sharing stories and legends that reflected their connection to the land. The Tehuelche also created distinctive art, including rock paintings and carvings, which depicted their daily life and spiritual beliefs.
