Taungurung People
The Taungurung People are an Indigenous Australian group from the central highlands of Victoria. They are part of the larger Kulin Nation, which includes several other Aboriginal groups. The Taungurung have a rich cultural heritage, with deep connections to their land, language, and traditions.
Historically, the Taungurung People lived as hunter-gatherers, relying on the natural resources of their territory. Their traditional lands encompass areas around the Goulburn River and the Great Dividing Range. Today, the Taungurung continue to advocate for their rights and work towards the preservation of their culture and language.
