Tatranský národný park
Tatranský národný park, or Tatra National Park, is located in the High Tatras mountain range in Slovakia. Established in 1949, it covers an area of approximately 738 square kilometers and is known for its stunning landscapes, including rugged peaks, deep valleys, and crystal-clear lakes. The park is home to diverse flora and fauna, including rare species like the Tatra chamois and the Eurasian lynx.
The park offers numerous hiking trails, making it a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts. Visitors can explore various natural attractions, such as the picturesque Morskie Oko lake and the iconic Gerlachovský štít, the highest peak in the Carpathians. Tatranský národný park is also a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, highlighting its ecological significance.
