Tappan Zee Bridge
The Tappan Zee Bridge is a large bridge that spans the Hudson River in New York. It connects the towns of Tarrytown and South Nyack and is part of the New York State Thruway. The bridge was opened in 1955 and has been an important transportation link for commuters and freight.
In 2017, a new bridge, known as the Governor Mario M. Cuomo Bridge, was completed to replace the original Tappan Zee Bridge. The new bridge features modern design and safety improvements, while the old bridge was demolished. Both bridges have played a significant role in regional connectivity.
