Tanager
A tanager is a small to medium-sized bird belonging to the family Thraupidae, primarily found in the Americas. These birds are known for their vibrant plumage, which can include bright reds, yellows, and blues. Tanagers typically inhabit forests, woodlands, and shrubby areas, where they feed on fruits, insects, and nectar.
There are over 240 species of tanagers, with the most well-known being the Scarlet Tanager and the Summer Tanager. They are often seen flitting through the trees, and their melodious songs add to the sounds of their natural habitats. Tanagers play an important role in their ecosystems by aiding in seed dispersal.
