Tamar gas field
The Tamar gas field is a natural gas field located off the coast of Israel in the Mediterranean Sea. Discovered in 2009, it is one of the largest gas fields in the region, with estimated reserves of about 280 billion cubic meters of natural gas. The field plays a crucial role in Israel's energy supply and has significantly reduced the country's dependence on imported fuels.
The Tamar gas field is operated by Noble Energy, along with its partners, including Delek Group. The gas extracted from Tamar is used for domestic consumption, electricity generation, and export to neighboring countries. Its development has contributed to Israel's energy security and economic growth.
