Taj-ul-Masajid
Taj-ul-Masajid is one of the largest mosques in India, located in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. Built in the 19th century, it showcases stunning Indo-Saracenic architecture, featuring grand domes, intricate carvings, and expansive courtyards. The mosque can accommodate thousands of worshippers, making it a significant religious site for the local Muslim community.
The mosque was commissioned by Sultan Shah Jahan Begum, the last female ruler of Bhopal, and construction began in 1971, completed in 1985. Its impressive minarets rise to a height of 18 meters, and the mosque is adorned with beautiful chandeliers and colorful stained glass, attracting visitors and pilgrims alike.
