TLP
TLP, or Traffic Light Protocol, is a system used to classify and share sensitive information based on its level of confidentiality. It uses four color-coded categories: Red for information that must not be shared, Amber for limited sharing, Green for information that can be shared freely, and White for public information. This helps organizations manage data securely and ensures that individuals know how to handle the information appropriately.
Originally developed for the computer security community, TLP is now widely used in various fields, including cybersecurity, intelligence, and emergency management. By providing clear guidelines on information sharing, TLP enhances communication and collaboration while protecting sensitive data from unauthorized access.
