Syrian Conflict
The Syrian Conflict began in 2011 as part of the wider wave of protests known as the Arab Spring. Initially, peaceful demonstrations against the government of Bashar al-Assad escalated into a civil war as the regime responded with violence. Various groups, including opposition forces and extremist factions, emerged, leading to a complex and multi-sided conflict.
Over the years, the war has resulted in significant humanitarian crises, with millions of people displaced both internally and as refugees in other countries. International involvement has further complicated the situation, with countries like Russia and the United States supporting different factions, making resolution efforts challenging.
