Syndicalism
Syndicalism is a political and economic theory that advocates for the direct action of workers to achieve social change. It emphasizes the importance of labor unions, or syndicates, as the primary means for workers to organize and gain control over their workplaces and industries. Syndicalists believe that through strikes and other forms of direct action, workers can challenge capitalist systems and create a more equitable society.
The ultimate goal of syndicalism is to establish a society where workers manage production collectively, often through decentralized, self-managed organizations. This approach seeks to eliminate the hierarchical structures of traditional capitalism, promoting a more democratic and cooperative form of economic organization.
