Sydney Harbour Lighthouse
The Sydney Harbour Lighthouse, also known as the Macquarie Lighthouse, is located at the entrance of Sydney Harbour in New South Wales, Australia. Built in 1818, it is the oldest lighthouse in Australia and serves as a vital navigation aid for ships entering the busy harbor. The lighthouse stands 49 meters tall and features a distinctive white tower with a black lantern.
The lighthouse was designed by Francis Greenway, a prominent architect of the time. It has undergone several renovations and upgrades over the years, including the installation of modern lighting systems.
