Swimming Strokes
Swimming strokes are specific techniques used by swimmers to move through water efficiently. The four main types of strokes are freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly. Each stroke has its own unique movements and breathing patterns, allowing swimmers to compete in various events.
In freestyle, swimmers face down and alternate their arms while kicking their legs. Backstroke involves floating on the back and using a similar arm movement. Breaststroke features a frog-like kick and simultaneous arm movements, while butterfly requires a dolphin kick and coordinated arm strokes. Mastering these strokes is essential for competitive swimming.
