Swedish Ice Hockey Federation
The Swedish Ice Hockey Federation (SIHF) is the governing body for ice hockey in Sweden. Established in 1922, it oversees the development and promotion of the sport at all levels, from youth leagues to professional teams. The federation is responsible for organizing national competitions, including the Swedish Hockey League (SHL) and the national team programs.
SIHF also plays a crucial role in training coaches and referees, ensuring that the sport maintains high standards. It collaborates with international organizations, such as the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF), to promote ice hockey globally and participate in international competitions, including the World Championships and the Olympics.
