Swedish Ice Hockey Association
The Swedish Ice Hockey Association (SIHA) is the governing body for ice hockey in Sweden. Established in 1922, it oversees the development and promotion of the sport at all levels, from youth leagues to professional teams. The association is responsible for organizing national competitions, including the Swedish Hockey League (SHL) and the national team programs.
SIHA also plays a crucial role in training coaches and referees, ensuring that the sport maintains high standards. It collaborates with international bodies like the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) to promote ice hockey globally and to participate in international competitions, including the World Championships and the Olympics.
