Swedish Geography
Sweden is located in Northern Europe on the Scandinavian Peninsula. It shares borders with Norway to the west and Finland to the northeast. The country has a long coastline along the Baltic Sea and the Gulf of Bothnia, featuring numerous islands, including Gotland and Öland.
The landscape of Sweden is diverse, with forests covering about 69% of the land. The country has many lakes, such as Lake Vänern, the largest in Sweden, and Lake Vättern. The northern region, known as Lapland, is characterized by mountains and tundra, while the southern part is more urbanized and agricultural.
