Sunscreen Products
Sunscreen products are lotions, creams, gels, or sprays designed to protect the skin from the harmful effects of ultraviolet (UV) radiation from the sun. They contain active ingredients that either absorb or reflect UV rays, helping to prevent sunburn and reduce the risk of skin cancer. Sunscreens are often labeled with a Sun Protection Factor (SPF) number, indicating their effectiveness against UVB rays.
There are two main types of sunscreen: chemical and physical. Chemical sunscreens contain organic compounds that absorb UV radiation, while physical sunscreens use minerals like zinc oxide or titanium dioxide to create a barrier on the skin. Both types are available in various formulations, including water-resistant options for outdoor activities.
