Sunfish
The sunfish, also known as Mola mola, is a large, flat fish found in oceans worldwide. It can weigh over 2,200 pounds and reach lengths of up to 10 feet. Sunfish are known for their unique shape, resembling a giant pancake, and their dorsal and anal fins that can extend high above the water's surface.
Sunfish primarily feed on jellyfish, but they also consume other soft-bodied marine creatures. They are often seen basking in the sun near the ocean's surface, which is how they got their name. Despite their size, sunfish are gentle and pose no threat to humans.
