Ocean Sunfish
The Ocean Sunfish, or Mola mola, is one of the heaviest bony fish in the world, weighing up to 2,200 pounds. It has a unique flattened body shape, resembling a large pancake, and can grow up to 10 feet in length. These fish are found in both tropical and temperate oceans, often basking in the sun near the surface.
Ocean Sunfish primarily feed on jellyfish, but they also consume other soft-bodied marine creatures. They are known for their slow swimming speed and can often be seen floating on their sides. Despite their size, they are not considered dangerous to humans.
