Sunda pangolin
The Sunda pangolin, also known as the Malayan pangolin, is a unique mammal found in Southeast Asia. It is characterized by its protective keratin scales, which cover its body and help defend against predators. Sunda pangolins are nocturnal and primarily feed on ants and termites, using their long, sticky tongues to capture their prey.
These pangolins are solitary animals and are known for their ability to curl into a tight ball when threatened. Unfortunately, the Sunda pangolin is critically endangered due to habitat loss and illegal wildlife trade, making conservation efforts essential for its survival.
