Sultan Abdulaziz was the 32nd Sultan of the Ottoman Empire, reigning from 1861 until his deposition in 1876. He was born on February 9, 1830, and was known for his efforts to modernize the empire, including military reforms and infrastructure improvements. His reign faced significant challenges, including financial difficulties and rising nationalist movements within the empire. In 1876, Abdulaziz was deposed by a coup led by members of his own government, which resulted in his replacement by his nephew, Sultan Murad V.
