Sultan Murad V
Sultan Murad V was the 33rd Sultan of the Ottoman Empire, reigning briefly in 1876. He was born on September 21, 1840, and became Sultan after the deposition of his uncle, Abdulaziz. His reign lasted only 93 days due to his mental health issues, which led to his removal from the throne.
After his deposition, Murad V was confined in the Dolmabahçe Palace until his death on August 28, 1904. Despite his short rule, he is remembered for his attempts at modernization and reform within the empire, reflecting the challenges faced by the Ottoman Empire during a time of significant change.
