Sukhdev
Sukhdev was a prominent Indian revolutionary and a key figure in the struggle for India's independence from British rule. Born on May 15, 1907, in Punjab, he was a member of the Hindustan Socialist Republican Association and worked closely with other notable revolutionaries like Bhagat Singh and Rajguru. Sukhdev was known for his commitment to social justice and his efforts to inspire youth to join the freedom movement.
He played a significant role in the protest against British colonialism, particularly through acts of defiance and revolutionary activities. Sukhdev was arrested and, along with Bhagat Singh and Rajguru, was executed on March 23, 1931, for his involvement in the killing of a British police officer. His sacrifice is remembered as a symbol of courage and dedication to the cause of Indian independence.
