Studenica Monastery
Studenica Monastery is a 12th-century Serbian Orthodox monastery located in Serbia. It was founded by Stefan Nemanja, the first ruler of the Serbian state, and is known for its stunning architecture and beautiful frescoes. The monastery is a UNESCO World Heritage site, recognized for its historical and cultural significance.
The complex features a main church dedicated to the Holy Virgin, along with several other buildings. The frescoes inside the church are considered masterpieces of medieval art, depicting biblical scenes and saints. Studenica remains an important spiritual center and a symbol of Serbian heritage.
