Striped Skunk
The Striped Skunk is a small to medium-sized mammal known for its distinctive black and white stripes. Found primarily in North America, these skunks are easily recognizable and are often seen in suburban areas. They are nocturnal creatures, foraging for food such as insects, fruits, and small rodents.
Striped skunks are famous for their ability to spray a foul-smelling liquid as a defense mechanism. This spray can deter predators and is a key survival trait. Despite their reputation, they play an important role in the ecosystem by controlling pest populations and dispersing seeds.
