Stratos
Stratos is a term that often refers to the stratosphere, which is the second layer of Earth's atmosphere, located above the troposphere and below the mesosphere. This layer extends from about 10 to 50 kilometers (6 to 31 miles) above the Earth's surface. The stratosphere is characterized by a temperature increase with altitude, primarily due to the presence of the ozone layer, which absorbs and scatters ultraviolet solar radiation.
In addition to its atmospheric meaning, "Stratos" can also refer to various products and technologies, such as the Stratos spacecraft or Stratos software solutions. These applications often aim to enhance communication, data analysis, or exploration, showcasing the versatility of the term in different contexts.
