Stilt
A stilt is a tall, slender structure used to elevate buildings, walkways, or platforms above the ground. They are commonly made from materials like wood, metal, or concrete and are often used in areas prone to flooding or where the ground is unstable. Stilts help protect structures from water damage and provide a stable foundation.
In addition to construction, stilts are also used in performance art and entertainment. Performers, known as stilt walkers, use them to gain height and create visually striking acts. This practice can be seen in parades, festivals, and theatrical performances, adding an element of excitement and spectacle.
