Piling
Piling is a construction technique used to support structures by transferring their weight to deeper, more stable soil or rock layers. This is achieved by driving long, slender columns, known as piles, into the ground. Piles can be made from various materials, including concrete, steel, or wood, and are essential for building foundations in areas with weak or unstable soil.
There are different types of piling methods, such as driven piles and bored piles. Driven piles are hammered into the ground, while bored piles are created by drilling a hole and then filling it with concrete. Both methods help ensure that buildings and other structures remain stable and safe over time.
