Steppe Animals
Steppe animals are species that inhabit the vast, grassy plains known as steppes. These regions are characterized by their dry climate and limited tree cover, making them home to a variety of wildlife adapted to these conditions. Common steppe animals include the saiga antelope, steppe eagle, and various rodents, which have developed unique traits to survive in this environment.
Many steppe animals are herbivores, feeding on the abundant grasses, while predators like the steppe wolf hunt these herbivores. The adaptations of these animals, such as camouflage and migratory behavior, help them thrive in the challenging steppe ecosystem.
