Stephen Paddock
Stephen Paddock was an American man known for committing the deadliest mass shooting in modern U.S. history. On October 1, 2017, he opened fire from a hotel room at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, targeting a crowd attending the Route 91 Harvest Festival. The attack resulted in 58 deaths and hundreds of injuries.
Paddock was a retired accountant and had no prior criminal record. Investigators found a large cache of firearms and ammunition in his hotel room and home. Despite extensive investigations, the motive behind his actions remains unclear.
