State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness
The State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR) is a standardized testing program designed to measure students' academic performance in Texas public schools. It assesses knowledge and skills in subjects such as mathematics, reading, writing, science, and social studies for grades 3 through 8 and high school.
STAAR tests are administered annually and are used to evaluate student progress and readiness for the next grade level or course. The results help educators identify areas where students may need additional support and inform decisions about curriculum and instruction in Texas schools.
