Stamens
Stamens are the male reproductive parts of a flower. Each stamen typically consists of two main parts: the anther and the filament. The anther produces pollen, which contains the male gametes, while the filament supports the anther and holds it in a position to facilitate pollination.
In many flowering plants, stamens are arranged in a circle around the central pistil, which is the female reproductive part. When pollinators like bees or butterflies visit flowers, they transfer pollen from the anthers of one stamen to the stigma of the pistil, enabling fertilization and the production of seeds.
