Stachys
Stachys is a genus of flowering plants in the mint family, Lamiaceae. It includes around 300 species, commonly known as betony or woundwort. These plants are typically found in temperate regions and are characterized by their square stems, opposite leaves, and tubular flowers, which can be purple, pink, or white.
Many species of Stachys are used in traditional medicine and as ornamental plants in gardens. They are often appreciated for their attractive foliage and ability to attract pollinators like bees and butterflies. Some species, such as Stachys byzantina, are also known for their fuzzy leaves and drought resistance.
