St. Stanislaus
St. Stanislaus is a Roman Catholic saint and the patron saint of Poland. He was born in 1030 in Szczepanów and became the Bishop of Kraków. Known for his strong moral character, he opposed the injustices of the ruling king, Bolesław II, which ultimately led to his martyrdom in 1079.
His feast day is celebrated on April 11, and he is often depicted in religious art holding a cross and a bishop's staff. St. Stanislaus is venerated not only in Poland but also in various parts of the world, symbolizing courage and integrity in the face of oppression.
