Square Kilometre Array
The Square Kilometre Array (SKA) is a large radio telescope project designed to explore the universe. It aims to gather data from space using thousands of antennas spread across multiple countries, including Australia and South Africa. The total collecting area of the antennas will exceed one square kilometre, allowing scientists to study cosmic phenomena in unprecedented detail.
The SKA will help answer fundamental questions about the universe, such as the formation of galaxies and the nature of dark matter. It will also enable researchers to investigate pulsars, black holes, and the origins of cosmic magnetism, contributing significantly to our understanding of astrophysics.
