Spitting Cobra
The spitting cobra is a type of venomous snake known for its unique ability to eject venom from its fangs. This species primarily inhabits parts of Africa and Asia, where it uses its venom as a defense mechanism against predators. The venom can cause irritation and temporary blindness if it comes into contact with the eyes.
Spitting cobras are characterized by their hood, which they expand when threatened. They can accurately spit venom up to several feet away, targeting the eyes of their attackers. There are several species of spitting cobras, including the black-necked spitting cobra and the Mozambique spitting cobra.
